The City of North Charleston and The Sustainability Institute have been awarded the 2009 Award of Excellence for Sustainable Community Development from The Home Depot Foundation. Oak Terrace Preserve was a major part of North Charleston being chosen as a winner.

Charleston City Paper Lists Oak Terrace Preserve as ‘Best New Development’ for 2009
The Charleston City Paper, the Lowcountry’s alternative weekly newspaper, recently announced that the green built Oak Terrace Preserve neighborhood in North Charleston was voted “Reader’s Pick – Best New Development for 2009”.
